The Long Stage

The Long Stage is a collection of artifacts dedicated to the final production staged by the Berezil Theatre in 1933 — Maklena Grasa, the last collaborative work of Les Kurbas, Mykola Kulish and Vadym Meller.

This collectible edition includes the text of Kulish’s original play alongside its contemporary remake — Budyak Flower, written eighty years later by playwright Natalka Vorozhbyt at the request of Stanislav Moiseyev, who had just become head of the Ivan Franko Theatre following the death of Bohdan Stupka and staged Budyak Flower there in 2013. Vorozhbyt’s text is published here for the first time.
