UN/SEEN sheds light on the lives and work of female designers active in the fields of book design, poster design, typography, illustration, and packaging before the Bauhaus.

Across ten chapters, the publication presents previously unknown materials and the latest research findings, using numerous examples to demonstrate how accomplished and self-assured the first generation of women graphic designers was, as well as how the debates of their time continue to shape the discipline today.
