The Story of the Sanatorium Zone. A Sentimental Story. I (Romance)

This book brings together three works by Mykola Khvylovy — The Story of the Sanatorium Zone, A Sentimental Story, and I (Romance). These texts offer insight into both the author and his era. Khvylovy’s characters are “rootless romantics” — figures filled with despair, unable to bridge the gap between their idealistic worldview and a reality in which those ideals lose meaning.
