The authors explore how ornamental painting manifests across different regions of Ukraine, what makes each tradition distinct and how Ukrainians themselves perceive and experience it. The zine is ultimately about devaluation: it combines essays and visual experiments that address the loss of uniqueness and identity within commercial culture \u2014 how regional styles are erased and reduced to the same white package with a generic red \u201cethnic\u201d ornament. This zine was created to restore depth, nuance and respect \u2014 to let ornament speak again in its own voice."}
