The book brings together 31 interviews about the struggle for human rights in wartime Ukraine. Among the protagonists are Kateryna Levchenko, Oleksandra Matviichuk, Larysa Denysenko, Yuliia Nuzban, Khrystyna Kit, Oksana Pokalchuk, Zemfira Kondur and other human rights defenders from across Ukraine. Throughout the book they speak about advocating for the rights of women and LGBTQ+ people, Roma communities, internally displaced persons, prisoners of war and the missing; supporting vulnerable groups; combating domestic violence; documenting war crimes; helping those affected by the war; restoring justice. These are not only personal stories, but a collective portrait of the Ukrainian women’s human rights movement shaping the country today.
</oembed>
