Over the years, the publication launched its own publishing house and began producing books on architecture, contemporary art and interior design. Between 1999 and 2006, before the era of fast fashion and social media, Kyoichi Tsuzuki published 87 installments of the Happy Victims series in the magazine Ryuko Tsushin. In cramped Tokyo apartments, the subjects of his photographs — from a Buddhist monk obsessed with Comme des Garçons to a collector of Alexander McQueen — spoke about their devotion to fashion brands.
