“sabukaru” is the first printed release from the Tokyo-based platform known for its independent approach to culture. The magazine looks outward from Japan — toward Asia and the wider world — exploring fashion, graphic design, music, internet culture and underground movements through original writing, visual essays and editorial photography.

The first issue is an almanac of Japanese independent culture, created with passion and respect for context. Across 300 pages it offers visually powerful and thoughtfully curated content without chasing trends.
