Ole Lukoie and other tales

This collection of works by the Danish storyteller was first published in Kyiv in 1873 in a translation by Mykhailo Starytskyi. That edition also marked the debut of artist Mykola Murashko as an illustrator. Since then, the elegant little book had never been republished. Osnovy now returns to contemporary readers a remarkable translation, a valuable example of living Ukrainian language from the late nineteenth century and the original book graphics — all presented in a new visual arrangement.
