This is a three-volume family saga The Richynski Sisters by writer and public figure Iryna Vilde.

The work portrays a historical panorama of the first half of the 20th century and the fate of women who no longer want to live in a patriarchal world.

At the center are five sisters who, after their father’s death, are left face to face with real life. With no money and no understanding of how the world around them works they are still determined to no longer be objects or depend on romantic relationships or a successful marriage. Each of them shows remarkable strength of spirit, confronts seemingly hopeless circumstances and finds her own path into the future.
